What Trayo Does

Every GTM team asks the same question: why would this company buy from us right now? Not in general. Not because they match an ICP someone wrote 18 months ago. Right now, this week, is there a real pain, a window that just opened, a risk they're facing that your product solves?

No tool in the market was built to answer that. Trayo is.

We're always-on AI agents that scan millions of events across your market, job postings, leadership changes, earnings signals, product launches, regulatory shifts, and reason about every one through the lens of your business. Most are noise. Trayo discards them. The ones that matter arrive fully formed: the product to lead with, the person to reach, and the next action ready to go, before your competitor notices, before your rep thinks to look.

We're not another tool in the stack. We're the input layer that makes your AI SDR, your ABM program, and your agents actually intelligent.

We're a Seed company founded by repeat founders and AI engineers from AWS, Salesforce, and Elasticsearch.

Why This Role Exists

There's no category for what Trayo does yet. No analyst quadrant. No shorthand buyers already use. We're hiring our first marketer to name it, frame it, and make the market care.

What You'll Own

  • Positioning & messaging. Define what "AI sales execution" means and why it's different from everything that came before. This is foundational category work, not taglines, but the narrative that changes how buyers think about their stack.
  • Show-don't-tell content. Trayo's product is its own best argument. You'll turn real signals into stories, demo videos, customer proof points, before/after workflows, that make sales leaders stop and say "how does it know that?"
  • Brand from zero. Voice, visual identity, website. You're not refreshing a brand, you're building one that feels credible to VP Sales buyers while standing out in a sea of generic AI SaaS.
  • Founder-led thought leadership. The founding team has deep credibility in AI and data infrastructure. You'll give it structure and reach: LinkedIn, podcasts, events, bylines.
  • Strategy through execution. You write the positioning doc, build the landing page, edit the demo, and post the content. There's no team to hand things to. You ship what you think.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–8 years in marketing with real reps in positioning, messaging, and brand, not just campaign execution. You've done the strategic thinking and the hands-on work, often in the same afternoon.
  • You've shaped how a product is understood, not just promoted one. You know the difference between a feature list and a narrative that changes how someone thinks.
  • You use AI in your own work every day. At Trayo, AI isn't a department, it's how the company operates. You should be someone who sees AI tools as a multiplier, not a novelty.
  • You've built at early-stage companies and know what it feels like to work without guardrails. The ambiguity energizes you. If you need a team of five and a quarterly planning cycle to ship, this isn't the role.
  • Bay Area based, able to be in office 2 days/week.
